This topic is very important for trainers and coaches in all niches. In fact, no matter which other topics are discussed at a business event, or on a webinar, it always seems to come back to getting more clients on a regular basis. Let’s dive in and discover simple, fast, effective and often free, ways for you to get an endless stream of clients.
Here we go!
1. Referrals. This is obvious, and often overlooked. Ask existing clients to refer their family and friends. The process of getting his or her friends and family to join your program begins the first day someone becomes your client. You need to let them know they should refer people to you, so they can experience the same benefits. Do not wait to explain the referral process to existing clients. Incentivize your clients who refer with cool/unique gifts, not just a “Thank You!”
2. It’s all about tagging on Facebook. Rather than just making blanket announcements about your class, specifically “call people out” and tag them in the photos. Say things such as “Suzie, you did your plank perfectly today!” Or you can say, “My presentation went well today. I especially enjoyed speaking with ____________, ___________ and _____________.” Tag the people, be kind, be specific and grow your network.
3. Advertise on Facebook. Do your homework here. When done correctly, it’s very affordable, and you can be very specific with the psychographics and demographics of the target market. You can be so specific, you can have your ad ONLY appear to women 30-35 years old who have shown an interest in wellness, and live within 10 miles of your wellness clinic. Yes, you can even be more specific, but you get the idea. Make sure you connect your ad to your fan page.

4. Be charitable. Not only is it cool to support charities, it’s a great way to network and meet local people with high net worth who can afford your services. Donate your services to the charity’s silent auction and participate on a big level.
5. Become a blogging maniac. Google loves blogs and fresh, quality content. It improves your rank, which puts more eyes on your blog, which, then, in return, gives you exposure to more potential clients. The more articles you have on your blog which can directly help your clients and potential clients, the more clients you will get. It just works that way. Click here to get a blog.
6. Become a video star. I’m not talking about a DVD series or a TV show (although that would help for sure). I’m just talking about posting A LOT of videos on your blog, on YouTube or Instagram, and on Facebook. Always have a purpose for the video and always remind people how you can help them and how they can contact you. Have fun, be funny, don’t take yourself too seriously and never stop posting HELPFUL and educational videos. This is not an ad for how you look in a swimsuit. It’s about your clients, and how you can serve them.
7. Be prolific. WHAT? It’s this simple; you need to stand out so people notice you. Nobody ever remembers “average” or “ordinary.” Think about your favorite reality TV show. Who stands out in your mind? The person who is prolific is the stand out. Think about your favorite sports star. The person who stands out is prolific because of their performance, but also because of their personality. What political personalities stand out? It’s the man or woman who makes bold statements, dresses a bit differently, or has a unique style of speech. To be clear, for your purposes, being prolific needs to be positive. Stand for something and stick to it. Stand by your convictions. Make your case. Share your wisdom. Out think, out work, out do, out give, and out perform everyone else and be prolific as you do it. This will earn you more clients and raving fans.
There are obviously many more ways to get clients, but this will get you moving in the right direction.
Always remember this…. Your success is in your hands. You are 100% responsible for getting clients and growing your business regardless of how your career is structured; even if you work in a gym, health club, spa, resort or established wellness center. It’s up to you to become prolific, successful and have a calendar filled with clients. It’s always been your responsibility, and it always will be.
Go get it.
Thanks

JSE I always appreciate all the information that you present in the internet. I recently became one of your PT and I am starting a little slow. Having a day time job a martial art dojo and trying to integrate what I have learn with you is going to take me a little longer. Nevertheless I am not going to stop. I will find a way to expand my small business that my wife and I have.
Thank you again for all the information that you present to all of us.
