Straight to the point….
You have to learn advanced skills to enjoy a highly successful career and business. That is without a doubt. And, you must always master the basics as you continue to learn new things.
#1 – Always be in the service of other people. When you continue to focus on your customer’s experience and results, you will keep the customer for a longer time, and get far more referrals from them. Make them feel special, and genuinely care about them. In short, it’s not about you, it’s about them.
#2 – Offer something special. It doesn’t matter if you teach group exercise, life coaching or personal training. You must be unique. So, think about it…. What makes your service or programs stand out from all the others. What makes you a better choice? What is uniquely identifiable about you? If you cannot identify it, your customer cannot either.
#3 – Realize you don’t know. Huh? I mean, admit to yourself that you don’t have all the answers. The worst thing you can do is think you have it all figured out. There is always a better way, a faster way, or a way that produces better results. Think back a year or two. Would you run your business, coach or train people the same way you do now? I doubt it. Why? Because you have learned and improved over time. So, realize you don’t know it all. Seek resources that help you get the answers fast.
