How did you start your music career?
When I was 7, my parents enrolled me in piano and violin lessons, and that’s how I became exposed to music. However, it was in 2016 after enrolling in an electronic music production course that I decided to do it as my career. I realized electronic music was much easier than playing classical instruments, and also much more fun. I honestly could see myself doing this forever, and that caused me to start my career in music.
What inspired you to get into the music industry?
I have always been a creative person that loved to draw, write and dance. When I realized people in the music industry could do all these things, that really inspired me to enter the business. It turned out to be the best thing to happen to me.
Do you like working in the studio ore, or performing on stage?
I prefer working in the privacy of the studio. There I can experiment and try out different sounds, redo them if necessary, all while thinking about how the listener would find the track.
How would you describe your sound?
My sounds are very experimental, electronic and mixes classical elements into them as well. I want to stand out from the rest of the crowd by having my own unique sound, and that is what I have decided to do.
What are you currently working on?
I have started a music marketplace known as Gemtracks where artists can come and buy beats. At first, it was just a simple website for me to sell my unused beats and instrumental tracks, however as it grew, I got requests to turn it into a marketplace for anyone to sell their beats. Now, it has become just that.
What are your thoughts on the music business in 2020?
I think we are going through one of the biggest changes in music. Today, thanks to the internet, anyone can listen to whatever music they want. There is also no other time in history with more choices of music. I can only imagine what new technologies and inventions could be introduced in the years to come to really rock the music business.
What do you have planned for the future?
Once the pandemic is over and is safe to get back into the studios, I will be recording and releasing some new songs, and also filming a music video. Having a music video is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time because not only would I be working with audio, but also the visuals. Being an artistic person, I can’t wait to try my hands on new things.
