How do you define success?
If you haven’t yet reached the level of success you want, is it possible, your mindset is holding your back?
Let me share bonus lesson with you right now… YOUR MINDSET IS HOLDING YOU BACK. And, you are not alone, it’s the same for everyone. It’s a matter of acknowledging it, and then continually focusing on a strategy to improve it.
Of course, you need business strategies, methods, and tactics for success. However… when you don’t have the right mindset, you don’t ask the right questions. And then, you don’t get the best possible answers to create those winning strategies, methods, and tactics.
Examples of improving your mindset:
If you frequently say, “I just don’t have time to create my dream business/lifestyle…”
Let’s be honest. Nobody has more or less time each day. We all have the same 24 hours. It’s a matter of priority, preference, and protocol. How you spend each hour of the day if 100% up to you. Think about it. If you had the unfortunate task of going to a funeral, all other plans stop, and you go!
You changed your frame of mind about what is important that day. You did it. What would happen if you changed the importance of each day’s tasks? You would change the results and outcome of each day.
Have you ever said, “I don’t have a degree in the field, so I cannot make it.”
Great news, 95% of jobs/careers DO NOT require a degree. Education is critical. It is never-ending. Unless you want a middle-management job in a company, or want to become a scientist, engineer, or doctor, essentially NO CAREERS require a degree.
I have 4 college degrees, and I can tell you I wasted a lot of time and money in college. I learned far more (usable information) from my certification training, and mastermind groups. College is (in most cases) outdated, drawn out and far too expensive.
As you may know, I founded two of the largest fitness and coaching certification associations in the US (serving the world). I know that fast, applicable and direct learning (certifications) is the best way to move ahead quickly.
Have you ever said this to yourself: “Well, that’s for them, but not for me.”
What does that even mean? Do you think someone else is more deserving than you? Do you think someone else deserves flying first class more often than you? Do you think other people deserve a dream home, but not you? That’s just crazy talk. You deserve it all. You just need to do the work. However, you will never do the work if (at any level) you feel you are unworthy or undeserving. You are worthy just because you are you. Do the work. Enjoy the results.
YOUR TASK:
For the next 3 days, take note of any negative (limiting) self-talk you experience. I most often want you to focus on the positive, yet for 3 days you can do this.
Use the notes function of your smartphone and key in what cray negative talk you said to yourself related to ability, money, knowledge, time, freedom, opportunity….. whatever.
You will realize that the reason you haven’t yet reached your goals in all between your ears. We all do it. I’m included. The first step is honesty. The second step is reducing and eliminating negative thoughts. The more time you spend with positive people, the easier it is to notice negativity in others. And, you will notice, they hold themselves back.
BONUS TIP: STOP WATCHING THE NEWS. It does NOTHING to enhance your life. NOTHING directly affects your life when YOU are in control of your life. Use your weather app. Get a traffic app. If you are in the stock market, get an app. That’s enough. Anything else will not change your life AT ALL. However, it can cause you to feel stress, anxiety, and unrest. That causes mental contraction. How can you grow at the same time? YOU CAN NOT. DON”T WATCH THE NEWS!
