Has your life become too complex?
Do you spend too much time each day focusing on “have to do” things as opposed to “want to do” things?
Do you have too much MONTH at the end of your MONEY?
This could be because of excessive “stuff” that requires maintenance.
Quick side note… How should you spend your moolah?
Simple: Invest in things that require little or no maintenance. Invest in assets that increase in value (yes, I know there can be some exceptions). Invest in great food. Invest in experiences such as travel and great shows. Invest in your business. It’s what gives you more options. Invest in your education. Being dumb is expensive.
What do the old and dying people say?
I find this really interesting (and both inspiring and sad). There are numerous formal and informal studies about “end of life regrets”.
In short, many studies show undeniably that people nearing the end of their life have a few undeniable regrets.
Can you guess what they are?
- Delaying travel, or lack of travel, was #1 overall for life regrets.
- Not spending enough quality time with family and friends was #2.
- Living a life based on someone else’s goals, dream and values instead of their own came in at #3.
So, here’s what you need to do now to ensure you aren’t one of those old people who’s totally bummed out their life was less fulfilling than they desired.
- Sell, donate or throw away everything that no longer serves you or has value.
- Stop hanging out with people who do not inspire, motivate or love you.
- Clean out your home and car. Clutter is a time killer.
- Automate as much of your business as possible.
- Stop doing anything that makes you unhappy.
- Start traveling right now.
- Call that one person you’ve been wanting to speak to, but have been putting it off.
- Learn how to simplify anything that is now complex.
- Try at least 1 new thing each day.
- Talk to an old person about their best life advice, and their biggest regrets. Listen and learn.
Don’t end up a tired, frustrated and less-than-thrilled old person. Take action now to get more out of each second, minute, hour, day, week, month and year.
