Chiang Mai has a tropical climate and you may experience about 33 degrees’ Celsius temperature all year round. The rainy season in Chiang Mai is from May to September and it is a perfect time to go to the city as it does not rain all the time and when it rains it is usually for a few hours late in the afternoon or early in the morning. If you are in Chiang Mai during the low seasons, you will easily find monthly accommodation but hard during high seasons and you can book in advance for one.

If you are sharing the internet in your accommodation, the internet can be slow like 2-10 Mbps. It is best if you get your own internet as it is cheap and easy to get. You can buy unlimited 10 Down and one up plans which are at 550baht per month. There are also cafes and co-working spaces that you can go if you want to work, they feature faster internet speeds and a phone plan of $10 a month or more. You also have access to phone provider Wi-Fi hotspots all around the city. In Chiang Mai, you will see free Wi-Fi everywhere and the paid internet is also cheap which makes it a perfect spot for digital Nomad.

Safety
Chiang Mai is among the safest cities in the world and crime against foreigners are very rare. You can freely walk around the city during the day or night and you will feel safe even if you are a lady walking alone. The major scam in the city is the Karaoke Bars along the Chang Klan road that is run by Mob and you can be scammed of your money. It is best to avoid the place as much as possible.
