There are also cafes and co-working spaces that you can go if you want to work, they feature faster internet speeds and a phone plan of $10 a month or more. You also have access to phone provider Wi-Fi hotspots all around the city. In Chiang Mai, you will see free Wi-Fi everywhere and the paid internet is also cheap which makes it a perfect spot for digital Nomad.
Chiang Mai is among the safest cities in the world and crime against foreigners are very rare. You can freely walk around the city during the day or night and you will feel safe even if you are a lady walking alone. The major scam in the city is the Karaoke Bars along the Chang Klan road that is run by Mob and you can be scammed of your money. It is best to avoid the place as much as possible.
