Here is a real and verifiable fact: If you are not yet ranking your blog or website near the very top of Google, you are losing a lot of customers and revenue every day.
Look at the graphic on this page again……
How many more calls, emails and inquiries would you get each day if you moved from position 6 to 3, or 3 to 1?
Are you even found based on your keyword phrases? (Examples: your city yoga studio, your city life coach, your city martial arts school)
If you are not even found on the first page of Google, Yahoo or Bing, you ARE losing far too much business to demonstrate here.
You may refer to them as a client, customer, member or guest, but one thing is the same. You need them!
Did you know that Google still ranks #1 for overall organic traffic to a website. “Organic” means that it’s not a paid ad like you see on Facebook, or the obvious ads you avoid on Google.
Organic Google (Yahoo, Bing) listings are the ones people click on when they are at the top of a search result.
The best part about ranking high on any search engine is that people are actively searching for your service, and not being interrupted by an ad, like they are on Facebook, Instagram or YouTube.
In general, visitors from a Google search will stay on your site longer, too. Statistically, this means they are more likely to buy. This is what years of verifiable data reveals.
There are a few things you can do to ensure you improve your ranking on Google.
First, add fresh blog content weekly. Long-form articles (500-2000 words) is best. Google loves new content. It shows them (Google) that you are actively engaged, and providing new content for your visitor. When you write your articles, make sure you add keywords/phrases related to your service. And, if you are in a specific location, add the location as well.
It’s important NOT to exceed about 2-3% keyword density. This means for every 100 words of content, you only want 2-3% to mention your specific service and location. Too much looks spammy to Google, and it’s counterproductive.
Also, get listed on Google Business. It’s fast and simple.
DOES RANKING HIGH ON GOOGLE REALLY MATTER?
- The #1 ranked position for a keyword on Google gets 31% of all clicks
- The #2 ranked position for a keyword on Google gets 25% of all clicks
- The #3 ranked position for a keyword on Google gets 11% of all clicks
- The #4 ranked position for a keyword on Google gets 8% of all clicks
- The #5 ranked position for a keyword on Google gets 6% of all clicks
And, from 6 onward, it declines very rapidly for you.
So, if you are currently ranked on the 2nd page, you are essentially invisible. If you are currently ranked between 6-10 on the first page for a particular keyword/ keyword phrase, you are missing out on approximately 70% more business compared to a top 3 position.
WHAT IF…….. you had a top 3 position on the first page for multiple keywords which are vital to your business? How much more revenue would you have each month? We’re guessing it’s well into the thousands, or possibly tens of thousands of dollars, per month.
