When your business and life are disorganized, it doesn’t feel good.
In fact, it’s quite unsettling. You need to do something about it.
You need to create systems for everything.
Yes, you want spontaneity in your life at times. That’s what makes life great. However, a lack of structure in life and business holds you back from higher levels of success and contentment.
So, first let’s discuss how you create systems in your personal life:
1. You need to have a nightly ritual before you go to bed.
2. You need to have to set time (frame) that you go to bed each night.
3. Wake up at a consistent time each day.
4. Make a morning ritual for success.
5. Have a time set aside for an exercise/health ritual in the morning.
6. Write down 5 things you are grateful for each day.
7. Have a time you connect with great friends each day.
8. Take a 10-minute break in the middle of the day to pause, reflect, pray or meditate.
Here’s what you can do to create systems for your business:
1. First, get rid of anything that doesn’t serve you and make your business better.
2. Use software that tracks your numbers (bank accounts, investments, sales, marketing, etc).
3. Each day, assess your most important task and finish it, or at least make progress towards its completion.
4. Work 90-minute blocks with 15-minute breaks until your work day is finished.
5. When the time is right, build a team to support you and help you simplify your daily workload.
6. Always ask yourself if the work you are doing at “this moment” is most important to your goals.
Keep things as simple as always in your personal and professional life. Complexity in anything adds unforeseen complications that are never fun to unravel.
