Do you spend any time on the weekend just exploring the web for ideas or inspiration?
I’ve always liked to learn how other entrepreneurs operate their businesses in unusual ways.
Yesterday, I learned about thousands of entrepreneurs who run their businesses from their RVs and campsites. I knew it was possible but didn’t give it too much thought. Then, I started thinking these people are brilliant.
One guy is a CPA. In between the time he is fishing, camping, exploring and living in his motorhome, he does accounting for other wanderlust entrepreneurs.
His wife is a travel blogger. Between the two of them, they make more than enough to pay for the bills, and they have seen more of America than 99% of the people in the country.
In addition, their expenses are about 40% less than most people who do their type of work and are in the same age bracket.
I learned of another lady who was a stand up comic. She has also written a couple books and does some editing. Most interestedly, she now writes funny speeches for business leaders and politicians.
Her husband also has an online business. Together, they travel the U.S. indefinitely in a tiny home like the ones you may have seen on that TV series.
I share these stories with you because we often hear of digital nomads who travel to places like Costa Rica or Thailand or someplace in Europe. But, as I have learned, there is a thriving community of people in North America who travel full time while running their business. The same is true for each continent.
By the way, I found out that Verizon offers a product/service called Jetpack that essentially turns an RV into a wifi hotspot. Yes, that is very cool. And, that is how you get work done essentially anywhere.
So, if your entrepreneurial bug was bitten by the travel bug, maybe some type of hybrid RV/camping/tiny home living is for you.
You can custom design your entrepreneurial experience, and I’ll help you along the way.
